Hymed Pathy

The word HYMED means HOMOEOPATHY, YOGAPATHY, MEDITATION, and DIETETICS. PATHY means – DISEASES

What is HYMED-PATHY?

It is new treatment process. It is the basic concept of Holistic Health. It is a combination of old treatment process in modernize form by Homoeopathic medicines, practicing Yogasana and Meditation and maintaining an ideal and complete balanced diet chart according to individual patient’s disease conditions.

DEFINATION OF HEALTH (ACCORDING TO WHO)

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as a state of complete physical, mental or social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

What about HOMOEOPATHY

The word “Homoeos” means “similar” & “ Pathos” means “suffering” or “diseases”. The basis of homoeopathy is a basic natural principle. In Latin, this principle is stated as “Similia Similbis Curentur” – first propounded by Hippocrates. That is to say that to cure any disease a drug must be selected which is capable of producing similar symptoms that are created in healthy human body by taking a homoeopathic medicine, will be cured by the same medicine if they are present during ailment. After many years of research and experiments with friends, family and on himself, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann put his findings and expounded the principles of Homoeopathy together in a book. In homoeopathy, there are some preventive medicines also for some particular diseases.

Homoeopathy treats the patient as a whole, not the disease

Unlike Allopathy, this treats the body in parts (purgatives for constipation, sleeping pills for insomnia, vasodilator for asthma etc.), but the same homoeopathic drug can be used for various ailments as long as the symptoms of the drug match with those of the patients. Thus, in asthma & hypertension, homoeopathy would not treat the disease of asthma & hypertension, but the patient of asthma & hypertension.

Homoeopathy is thought to act through the nerve-ends, and stimulants (tobacco-chewing, coffee, cigarette, wine etc.) excite nerves. Therefore, in the same way, stimulants could alter or diminish the effect of homoeopathic doses.

Homoeopathy is not slow. The fight here is between slow cure and as enduring one. An antibiotic drug may flatten the fever with a blow, but unfortunately, the patient take a few days to recover from the antibiotic itself. Homeopathy’s cures are always startingly swift in acute cases of fever, pain, cold and so on, besides, they cause no lingering malaise. If your problems are chronic, complicated, deep seated and years old, then a “swift” cure will not be profound.

Homoeopathy and Allopathy are not enemies. There are few emergencies where instantaneous intervention, allopathic may be only answer; homoeopathy follows a few feet behind.

Homoeopathy is not Anti-Surgery. However, it is anti-unnecessary surgery. But, it is true that surgery depend on the degree of the stage of the disease state. When it is ultimate, surgery must be done.

Homoeopathy does works on faith. Some people claim that little doses work because the patient expects they will cure. Not true. Babies, for instances do not know about Similia Similibus Curantur or about homoeopathy, but homoeopathy works equally with them.

In Homoeopathy, there are some preventive medicines also for some particular diseases. Medicines are prepared from plants (roots, barks, stems, buds, leaves, gums, oils or whole plants), live substances (secretions of healthy organisms, poison etc.), body impurities, chemicals, synthetics, minerals etc. The medicines are available as mother tinctures, triturations or potencies form.

So, when a disease person comes at first, take he history of the patient and his/her diseases, then examine the patient & individualize from other patients & make a homeopathic prescription according to the physical & mental symptoms.

What about YOGAPATHY ?

The word “Yoga” is associated largely with the acquisition and exhibition of supernatural powers. This is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yujir” meaning to “Unite” or “Connect”. It means connection between the sentient souls with the supreme soul.
According to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, which is supposed to be the most important text of Yoga Philosophy, defines yoga as a state in which there is complete elimination of the thoughts and modification of the mind.

Types of Yoga: -

Hathayoga is the latest development of all the varieties of yoga as described above. This is actually the Therapeutic Yoga, and is basically a system of self-treatment.

According to yogic view, the diseases, disorders and ailments are the result of the faulty ways pf living, bad habits, lack of proper knowledge of things related to individual’s life, and improper food and thus, a state of short or prolonged malfunctioning of the body system caused by the imbalanced internal condition.

The patient is asked to practice yoga according to his diseases and his bodily conditions. In a majority of cases, a regular practice of only a few asanas is enough for curing the diseases. In some of the diseases, pranayamas together with the asanas becomes effective. In certain cases, specific kriyas such as bandhas, mudras are used for the desired result.

It is interesting to note that the same asanas, pranayamas, bandhas, mudras and other kriyas, which are, practiced for curative, preventive and general health purposes and practiced also for curing diseases.

In any medical system, the primary reliance is on medicine. The physician does the diagnosis, identifies the diseases and prescribes a suitable medicine. Here the patient has a very short role to correct the diseases and restore health, is only to take the medicine.

In Yogapathy, this external agent is not needed at all. It is the patient himself, whose personal understandings, correcting the mistakes, practice and care cures him.

I encounter several patients suffering from various chronic complicated diseases, where homoeopathic medicines take a lengthy time to achieve a permanent and satisfactory cure. In those cases, I applied also yogapathy and achieved a permanent cure within a short period. Specially, in cases of Arthritis, Asthma, Gastro-Intestinal disorders, Paralysis, Obesity, Mental illness etc.

The Therapeutic Yoga is mainly used as follows:-

(1) Asana: - It brings about bodily and mental stability, which is a mark of perfect health. It makes the body active and supple by removing extra fat and the impurities.

Types of Asanas:-

  • Dhyanasana: - It helps to concentrate and to keep rest of mind. e.g.:(a) Padmasana (b) Virasana  (c) Bakrasana (d) Badha Padmasana (e) Kukkutasana (f) Sidhasana (g) Vajrasana etc.
  • Sasthwasana: - It protects us from different types of diseases. By practicing these asanas, the nerves,   fibers, muscles remain in more healthy and strong state. e.g.: (a)Sabasana (b) Bhujangasana (c) Salvasana (d) Dhanurasana (e) Chakrasana (f) Padahastasana (g) Mayurasana (h) Pawanmuktasana etc.

      (2) Mudra: - It keeps the exocrene and endocrene glands in normal activation. Because the fluids  (hormones) mixed with the blood destroy the infected organisms and conduct the body properly and keeps it healthy. e.g.: (a) Yoga Mudra (b) Biparit Karani Mudra (c) Mahamudra (d) Aswinimudra (e) Uddiyan-bandh mudra etc.

  •         (3) Pranayama: - “Ayama” of “Prana” or “Amplitude” of “Breath”. It can overcome the feverish, illness  and premature-death by changing the flow of normal breath (Inhalation and Exhalation). Some examples of pranayama are (a) Bhramana Pranayama (b) Sitkari Pranayama (c) Sitali Pranayama (d) Bhastrika Pranayama (e) Kapalvarti Pranayama (f) Suryaved  Pranayama

Since the system of Yogapathy (Therapeutic Yoga) is now scientifically established. It can be used as a “self cure method” in a proper direction by patients suffering from various disorders in any part of world.

So when a diseased person comes, at first, take the history of the patient and his/her diseases, then examine the patient and individualize from other patients and make a prescription by giving a complete yogasana chart according to the physical and mental diseases.

What about MEDITATION?

Meditation (Rajayoga):- It keeps the mind in resting phase like a waveless pond and concentrate. By practising Rajayoga the following benefits one can achieve:-

The sentient soul connects with the Supreme Soul.

Increases confidence, positivity and energy.

Dissolves conflicts, confusions, insecurities and turmoils.

Enhances performance and efficiency in work.

Deals with the stresses of life.

Gives a direction to your goals.

Gets clarity of mind.

What about BALANCED DIET ?

When a person takes a complete food which contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins in an adequate proportion according to weight, height, climate, physical and mental activities, in a proper way then it is called a balanced diet.

In dietary treatment two main things are needed:- (i)Food and (ii)Nutrition.

(i) Food:- It is a mixture of few eatable things in different quantities or in same quantity.

Types of food according to function:-

Power making foods:- They mainly consist of carbohydrates and fatty food e.g., cereals (rice and flour), sugar, roots , tubers ,etc.

Body building foods:- They are mainly protein foods, e.g., meat, fish, liver, milk, pulses.

Protector foods:- They are mainly proteins, vitamins, mineral foods like milk, egg, liver, green leaves and fruits.

(ii) Nutrition:- It is a scientific process by which food becomes preserved and nourish the body.

A Few Common Rules of Eating:-

1. It is completely wrong that if you take a lot of food it will be better for you. If the excess food is out of digestion,
then it is harmful.

2. Eat timely. That is:-

(a) Everyday if you take food at the right time the digestive fluids oozes perfectly.

(b) Give the stomach rest for 5 hrs. and 3 hrs. respectively after taking a complete meal and a light meal, otherwise there will be too much pressure on the digestive system as a result of which there will be growth retardation and indigestion.

3. As because the digestive power is not same in every individual and few types of foods are not digestible to few persons so that persons must leave those foods or take in little quantity.

4 .Don't eat hurriedly and excitedly. If you take foods in a proper manner by chewing slowly, the salivary fluids oozes from the salivary glands and mixed with the chewed food which is helpful for easy digestion.

5. Don't eat just before or after a hard work. The blood circulation is not in a normal condition at this time, so that, the functions of the digestive glands becomes interrupted. Every individual needs different types of food according to their height, weight, climate and occupation.

6. Every individual needs different types of food according to their age, height, weight, climate and occupation and diseases.

So when a diseased person comes, at first, take the history of the patient and his/her diseases, then examine the patient and individualize from other patients and make a prescription by giving a complete balanced diet chart according to the diseases.

In HYMED PATHY a particular word is always useful & essential, i.e. INDIVIDUALISATION, which is always necessary in all of these thee treatment processes ( Homeopathic, Yogapathic & Dietetic). (F) HYMED PATHY Heals the body, mind and soul:-

Actually, now a day our daily lifestyles are becoming fast. But, due to the fast lifestyle, we can benefit good for nothing. The word “Fast Lifestyle” means nothing but the excess competitions, ambitions, excess dissatisfactions followed by acquiring more & more money and becoming habituated to eat fast (readymade) food and junk food. But, ultimately what we are getting – we can’t provide a little time with our own family, we have not a little time to relax, then we become frustrated, depressed, morosed, ill-behaved, irritable, angry & ultimately we become mentally sicked, which reflects also to our physical plane as a result of Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Hyperlipidaemia, Ischaemic Heart, Cardiac arrest, Cerebral Stroke, Paralysis, Gastritis, Gastric Ulcer, Insomnia, Obesity etc.

So, since now & for future generations also it is very much essential to maintain our lifestyle modifications for avoiding such above types of harmful diseases.

Due to the above reasons HYMED PATHY is always very much essential and effective treatment to maintain our lifestyle modification & treat the human being Holistically.

All of these four systems (Homoeopathy, Yogapathy, Meditation and Dietetics) prevent us from different diseases, cure the patient from inside outward scientifically and act as a psychosomatic medicine also.
